Pork Fried Rice Recipe

An excellent pork fried rice recipe that tastes authentic and delicious.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1/2 tablespoon butter

  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 (6 ounce) boneless pork loin chop, cut into 1/2 inch pieces

  • 1/2 cup carrot, finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup frozen peas

  • 1 green onion, chopped

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup basmati rice, cooked and chilled

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

  • Directions

Before cooking, prepare all of the ingredients ahead of time because everything cooks quickly in this recipe. It is important that the rice be cold before frying. If you just cooked it than run it under cold water.

In a large frying pan or wok, warm the butter and oil over medium-high heat. Add the sugar, pork, carrots, peas, and onion. Saute everything until cooked through and lightly browned. Push everything to the side and add the egg on the opposite side. Stir quickly to scramble it then mix everything together.

Turn the heat to high. Add the remaining ingredients. Stir until everything is well coated and the rice is lightly browned. Serve hot.
