How to Make Pasta![]()
How to Make PastaWhat You'll Need Directions Now that you have followed our easy homemade fresh pasta dough recipe, you are ready to make pasta from scratch. First, flour a large, flat surface. Place one of your fresh homemade pasta dough balls (keep the rest covered to maintain moistness) on the floured surface. Roll out your dough to desired thickness/thinness. Between each rolling-out flour the rolling pin and brush off any excess flour from the pasta dough. At this point you can use your knife or cookie cutters to create any shaped pasta you prefer. To make noodles, roll the entire sheet of flattened dough into a log shape. Then cut the log according the width of the noodle you desire. For example, fettuccine would be cut every 1/4 of an inch. Then roll each noodle out onto a floured surface and allow to dry for 1 hour before cooking. To cook homemade pasta just bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add your fresh pasta and cook until al dente, about 3 - 5 minutes. Your pasta is typically done when it floats to the surface. Now that you know how to make pasta, use it to make an already great pasta recipe even better: | ||
