We recommend Swanson's Chicken Cooking Stock or Kitchen Basics Natural Chicken Stock. Directions In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Saute garlic for 30 seconds. Add the bite-sized strips of chicken and brown on all sides. Add the tomatoes and mushrooms, and saute until they are tender. Stir in the chicken broth, white wine, and salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil. Add pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain. Return the pasta to the pot, cover, and set aside. After the sauce has simmered, remove the chicken and set it aside. Stir in the heavy cream, milk, cornstarch, and basil. Cook, stirring frequently, to your desired thickness. Add the chicken back in and toss everything together with the pasta. Serve warm with some crusted bread and Caesar salad.
